Training & Support – Web Analytics Workshops
![]()
Being in the Digital team at Redactive I work with all departments in publishing from the writers on editorial to the various sales teams. It’s the collaboration between these core functions of the business which provide the platform for our titles successes. Part of the relationship between these areas of the business involves sharing ideas and educating staff to how they can utilise digital means in their day to day work. So as well as being on hand for ad hoc support we provide workshops for ideas sharing and training.
Web Analytics
The introduction to Google Analytics was to meet requirements from Sales staff who wanted to understand better how traffic is measured on our websites and how they could find out how we were performing. This would help them so they were better prepared to sell to advertisers and meet the needs of clients who wanted more in-depth reporting to how the sites they sold for were performing.
The course outlined how traffic was measured and the various web analytics packages we used including Google Analytics, Ned Stats and Web Ababcus. The training also gave a refresher for those to understand how unique visitors, visits and page views are accumulated and how they can find out about other measurements of website performance.
